honto ni arigato.

we had a marvelous time at Gua Musang the other day. although i have to say i was reluctant to come at first. i already had a plan in mind. i was planning to go home for our annual open house. (well, you can't exactly say it's annual because if we have a sponsor then it's on, if not, what can i say?) this year's sponsor was abg de.

anyhow.

that didn't work. the HEP suddenly wanted to organise a Bina Jati Diri camp at Etnobotani Garden Gua Musang for three days, from 30th sept - 2nd oct which was unfortunate because the open house was on 2nd oct. but, being an obedient teacher-to-be, i called home and told my mother i wouldn't make it. sadly. after days of persuading her to let me come home. (kemaman and besut is not that close in distance, alright? i have to board a bus for at least a 4-hour journey).

anyway.

we went to Gua Musang and guess what? the place was terrific! the cave, the hill, the misty-all-the-time environment, were just great. i had a feeling that the place wasn't going to be scaring me, more like i'll be scaring myself - very the 'penakut'.

we were divided into groups. (oh ya, thanks to abg di for awesome coaster driving - especially up and down the hills of Etnobotani Garden). in my group we had firdaus (abe - he's a year older), safuan (science), ji han (tesl 1), yuhan (pj), pei shan (pj), jie (tesl 2), siti (maths) and another husna (also maths). eventhough it seems like our group was a thoroughly mix-up group, we had so much fun together and how we bonded was amazing.

i am asthmatic. i think you guys know that. well, climbing a hill isn't exactly an evening walk circling the campus. much tougher and i had a feeling was much longer. so naturally, when we almost (literally, a few more steps) reach the peak of the hill, i had an attack. of course i had my medication with me but salbutamol will make you shake (pretty badly if you are still doing vigorous exercises) and i cannot have that since we still had a long way going down the hill and exploring the cave. so when jie asked about my medication, i said no.

abe (we don't call him 'abe'. it was just to tease him) was nice. he was almost like the most gentleman guy i've ever had an encounter with in my life. of course, giving you a seat in a crowded lrt or letting you go first on a long line in front of the counter in a bank are also considered as gentleman, but his type of gentleman-ness is only found in a movie. or korean drama. perhaps. i don't really watch korean drama. jie does. maybe i should ask her. anyway.

haha. or maybe, he is really a nice person. someone said to me that being the first born of a family will make one a more sensitive and caring person. i don't know how much of that statement hold true. but abe offered to carry my bag and he did that along the way from the peak of the hill (when i started to show asthma symptoms) until we got out of the cave (when i don't even struggle for breaths anymore). he was nice. i felt extremely jealous towards the girl who holds his heart^^

oh well. there it is. an account from our trip to Gua Musang. what else is there? oh, the cave was fantastic. i should like outdoor activities from now on. except that if i have to choose between cave exploring and window shopping, i'd choose kl any day.

^^ (my latest favourite smiley)
